History of departments of surgery

Teshaev O.R.
Teshaev Oktyabr Rukhillaevich – doctor of medical sciences, professor. In 1991, he began his scientific career as a surgeon in the 1^st clinic of the Tashkent State Medical Institute. In 1996, he became the head of the department of the Center for Purulent Surgery and Surgical Complications of Diabetes Mellitus of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Author of 250 scientific and educational works, including 1 monograph and 2 textbooks, 31 methodological developments. From 2006 to 2017 he was the chairman of the scientific and methodological commission of the Tashkent Medical Academy, the chairman of the Coordinating Council and a member of the Academic Council. Currently, he is the chairman of the Association of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgeons of Uzbekistan.

Akbarov M. M.
From 2013 to the present, the Department of Surgery and Transplantology is headed by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Akbarov Mirshavkat Miralimovich. In 1986 he graduated from the Tashkent State Medical Institute. MM. Akbarov is the chief surgeon of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan and at the same time the head of the department of liver and biliary tract surgery at the V. Vakhidov Surgery Center.

Ergashev U.Yu.
Ergashev Ulugbek Yusufzhanovich - Head of the Department of General Surgery-2 from 2001 to the present. In 1985 he graduated from the Tashkent State Medical Institute. In 1990 he defended his PhD thesis. In 1998 he defended his doctoral dissertation. Under his leadership, 3 candidates of medical sciences were defended, 6 textbooks on surgery, 10 manuals, 1 atlas and more than 200 scientific papers were prepared. Currently, under his leadership, 6 candidates of science ( PhD ) and 2 doctors of science ( DSc ) are doing their research work.
