My favourite book is "The Old Man and the Sea" by Ernest Hemingway. This story is one of the well-known works of the writer. The author depicts the characters of the old man and the boy and their relations very vividly and skillfully. Santiago, the old man, was one of the writer's beloved characters. The old man was a born fisherman, but he was not a butcher and fished only for a living. He was very lonely. He had a devoted friend - the boy, Manolin. The boy loved the old man for his kind heart, his devotion to the sea. Manolin was like a son to Santiago. He took care of the old man's food and his belongings. The old man was glad to pass his experience to the boy. He looked forward to going to the sea together with the boy. All Santiago's life had been in preparation for the battle with big fish. He knew that he had been born for this and it was time to prove it. A strong man at last had met a strong fish. The battle was a difficult one and full of danger. Though the sharks had eaten the fish and nothing had left but the backbone, the old man had morally won the battle. Santiago's words "man can be destroyed but not defeated" are the main idea of this story. "The Old Man and the Sea" is a masterpiece for its imaginative language and the description of nature.

I Err … to be honest, I was kind of weak in math subjects, and … err … what made the matter worse Was my job. You know, during my university years, I had a part-time job and it was always a Challenge to leave my work and be present in the classes. I was awfully behind my lessons. But for the final exam, I promised myself to do my best and get through the exam at any price. Spent lots of time going for every detail; studying and working out many activities to get ready For the exam. You know, building yourself up to peak performance on the exam day is so! Important in any tests, and luck hardly comes into it. By the way, on the day of the exam, I was So confident, relaxed and motivated; needless to say, I had decided to ace the exam. To make an I long story short, I just sat down on the chair and tumid the exam paper. Gosh! … I couldn’t believe my eyes! it was all about chemistry, not mathematics. I had gotten the date of the exam I mixed up. Anyway, I did pass the math test with ease, but railed the chemistry test!

My father lives in tashkent . He works at the IT company. I'm so lucky . He is very busy. He often goes abroad on business. I 'm looking forward to the souvenirs that he brings back. The happiest time is when he returns to our family home and then we have dinner with all my family. We are thankful to him all the time, and we hope he will be able to rest and be relaxed once in a while

I would like to tell you about my mom’s job. Honestly I can say that her job is really challenging and responsible. Sometime I think how can she succeed to work so much and do everything at home.So my mom is a nurse. You think doctors work a lot, but believe me nurses work much more. They have night-shifts and day-shifts, they work on weekends and holidays. Well she decided tobecome a medical worker after one accident in her family many years ago. She finished medical college and became a nurse. When she met my dad she had already great experience and could work in any hospital. So she followed my dad and moved here..

The name of this particular hobby is called “internet surfing and collecting information from it”. Yes, you heard it right. My favourite hobby nowadays is surfing the internet. I also think that more and more people should consider surfing the internet as their hobbies because there are just so many interesting things to learn from the world wide web that it is almost impossible to get a better view of the world in which we live without surfing the internet.
At least, I have been doing this for the last three years or so, and I just love it. Besides, what could be a better hobby than learning about the world around us with just a click of a mouse? The best thing about this hobby is that I can enjoy it anytime from the comfort of my home.
