Activity 3 Look and listen.   

Objectives: to introduce new words and structures 

STEP 1: Say that the pupils will play now but, before they start the game, they should learn 2 more words: “boy” 

and “girl”. Ask the pupils to look at the pictures. Say that Buratino must say „I‟m a boy‟ and Malvina must say „I‟m a 

girl‟. Then play the DVD, Animation 1.  

STEP 2: According to the rules of the game, you must throw a ball to a pupil who should say “I am a boy” or “I 

am a girl”. That pupil then must throw a ball to the next pupil whoever he may choose, etc.
