I mean, technological advancements, such as TV, internet, and household appliances were not as user-friendly as today, which means that they had to do more work for a living than now. Additionally, the family size of older generations was wider than it is now, whereby involving an array of time for educating each of their children how to behave themselves. Family responsibility is the main cause of stress, hence older generations had more stress than now. Nonetheless, they did not blame for being stressed, they simply got on with their life. Although many concur that stress is worse than in the past, I believe that people might get used to it if they do not complain much about it.

On the other hand, many employers require a lot of effort on work from their employees. As a result, this pressure causes stress in many workplaces by demanding hours of working time, thereby leading workers to unsatisfactory of their work and also life. As well as that, people have less time to spend for themselves and family bonding than they used to be in the past. With shortening stress reliever activities, people now complaining about stress much more than in older generations. Given increasing pace of life, people hurry to do their work on time.
