CONCLUSION
A preposition is an integral unit of any language, especially in English linguistics. Despite the fact that this part of speech is auxiliary, it carries important functions in establishing a semantic connection in phrases and sentences between independent parts of speech, even affecting their lexical meaning.
As a result of our research, we found out that prepositions are very peculiar units of language that can express a wide variety of attitudes to objective reality. In the course of the historical development of the language, the composition of prepositions was updated, and their functional significance changed.
After analyzing the existing scientific approaches to the study of the semantic structure and functionality of prepositions, we can conclude that the best option for a comprehensive description of the characteristics of prepositions is to use a comprehensive approach that combines elements of the traditional linguistic description of paradigmatic relations between the studied language units and a cognitive approach based on the nature of spatial concepts reflected in the minds of native speakers and expressed in the semantics of these prepositions. the combination of these methods will allow us to scientifically substantiate and identify components in the semantic composition of the studied units and present a more complete picture of the role and functioning of prepositions in speech.
The practical part of this work is based on the analysis of the use of English prepositions. The practical part of this work is based on the analysis of the use of English prepositions. We also analyze the opinions and research of foreign linguists of the proposed functions of prepositions such as V.L. Kaushanskaya, Kachalova , Ehrlich and Murphy, G.A. Ter-Avakyan, A.M.Peshkovsky and oters. , There are a number of rules that can help decide which preposition to use.
Thus, we can conclude that the study of prepositions and how they change deserves a lot of attention and requires a systematic approach to the study of prepositions in the English language, considering both linguistic and extra-linguistic factors influencing the meaning of these prepositions.
More importantly, we try to understanding the degree of difficulty that the EFL teachers face when they deal with or try to teach English prepositions. It is important to focus more on practical activities rather than on providing theoretical explanation regarding English prepositions.
The use of prepositions in English can be called a kind of "science", as we improve our knowledge in the field of prepositions during the entire period of learning English.
