Prepositional Verbs
Phrasal combinations of verbs and prepositions are important parts of speech. Prepositions again act as connections between the verb and the noun or geranium, giving the sentence meaning. Most often, used prepositions with verbs are: to, for, about, of, in, at and from. They are used after the verb in the sentence. However, it should also be noted that proactive verbs may have a slightly different meaning from the original verb. For example, to connect a story simply means to tell a story, to connect a story is to identify with it, to find some meaning in it.
