• Expose Uzbek nurses and their supervisors to the model of nursing care as practiced in the US. Promote the professional development of nurses in Uzbekistan through the establishment of nursing-specific journals and a professional association.Assist in the development of education programs to prepare Uzbek nurses to assume expanded roles. Provide guidance in the restructuring of the formal education of nurses and promoting higher education (college or university-level) for nurses.
