For the last few decades there has been noticed a great development in the field of zoos. Even though, there is a belief that, zoos are entertaining and necessary for a community, in my opinion, there are several reasons that they have to be closed. In this essay, I will proof my point of view.
Admittedly, zoos play a significant role in preserving endangered species. As an example, some species of pandas, rhinos, tigers and parrots are in safety thanks to zoo authority. Because, they are getting rare year by year. Besides, there is no harm of starving to death, especially, for young animals. Moreover, animals are always provided with enough food, professional medical care and defence from hunters. That’s to say, specialists in zoos are always on hand to respond emergency situation.
However, we keep them in cages, they live in a stressful life. Personally, I believe that, it is unfair to make them live in an unnatural habitat. We separate them from their families, their wildlife. I consider, keeping wild animals inhumane. They should be independent and live between(among) plants. Furthermore, animals lose their wildlife competencies like hunting because of overcare(extra kindness or extra care) in zoos. Therefore, there is little potential of surviving when they are returned to their former wildlife.
This cannot be denied that, zoos provide(cater or supply) an educational and economic resource for a community, children learn about wild lifestyle without having to travel too far, as well. But it seems to me that everything has to be In their place. Humans should live as humans animals as animals. They must not use animals as a means of recreation.
