10.THE NATIONAL FLAG OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN
The Independence of Uzbekistan was declared on the 31^st of August in 1991. Uzbekistan has its
own Constitution, anthem, flag and emblem. After Uzbekistan had become an independent state many changes underwent in its foreign and home politics. The flag of our country is a symbol of the sovereignty of the republic. The flag of Uzbekistan was adopted on the 18^th of November, 1991.
The national flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan is a right – angled colored cloth consisting of three horizontal stripes: blue, white and green. Blue is the symbol of the sky and water, which are the main sources of life. Mainly blue was the color of the state flag of Temur. White is the traditional symbol of peace and good luck. Green is the color of nature and new life and good harvest. Two thin red stripes symbolize the power of life. There is a new moon which symbolizes the newly independent republic. There are twelve stars which represent the 12 provinces in Uzbekistan.
11. Uzbekistan
There are five republics in Central Asia. They are: Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan is a second republic in Minor Asia after Kazakhstan by territory. It’s area is 447,4 thousand square kilometers. It’s one of the richest republics in Minor Asia. It is situated between the Amudarya and the Syrdarya, the greatest r Asian rivers.The region of Uzbekistan is flatlands, mountains and deserts. In the North Uzbekistan borders on Kazakhstan, in the West in borders on Turkmenistan. In the East Uzbekistan borders Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. And at last in the South in borders on Afghanistan. Our republic is larger, it consists of 12 regions and one of Autonomous Republic in Uzbekistan. The climate is continental. There are a lot of sunny days for getting harvest of cotton and wheat. If you know Uzbekistan is one of the most important producers of cotton and silk. We are proud of our Motherland.
