Dear Senior Student:
Congratulations on your upcoming high school graduation in 2016. The Crestwood Sunset Hills Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that we are accepting applications for scholarships to be awarded late in the Spring of 2016. There will be a special award presentation to the chosen applicants at one of our Chamber Luncheons in the Summer of 2016.
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be a graduating senior who plans to pursue an education beyond high school. In addition you must reside in either the city of Crestwood or the city of Sunset Hills. No exceptions will be made to this rule.
This scholarship will be based solely on merit. Please be sure to answer all questions and attach any additional documentation that you feel is important. Letter(s) of recommendation from teachers/principals/etc. will NOT be read or considered. Please be sure to either type or write legibly in black ink. In addition to the attached application, we must receive a copy of your most recent high school transcript with the application.
Applications must be postmarked no later than 5:00 p.m. on March 31, 2016. Late entries will be disqualified. If you have difficulty completing the application, we suggest you consult with your guidance counselor for help.
The Chamber Scholarship Committee will select a few finalists who will be contacted for interviews once all applications are reviewed. The winning applicants will be notified by April 30, 2016.
