Introduction (abstract of the dissertation of the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)) 
 
The aim of the study
is to establish the difference between the phenomena 
of modality and modus, to identify the expressive means of the modus, to classify 
it by means of expression, to reveal the pragmatic aspect of the modus. 
The object of the research
is the artistic works of A.Kakhhor, S.Akhmad, 
T.Malik, A.Kodiri and U.Khoshimov, scientific and publicistic articles.
The subject of this research
is the study of the functional and pragmatic 
properties of the modus in speech activity.
The scientific novelty of the research 
is as follows: 
the relational essence, meaningful-functional, practical-pragmatic coverage of 
modality and modus phenomena have been revealed; 
the formation of modus on the basis of modality, lexical, prosodic and 
grammatic – linguistic as well as general theoretical aspects of phonation and 
extralinguistic – nonlinguistic means of expression have been proven on the basis 
of foreign sources; 
intonation, accent, timbre from prosodic means of speech, conditional verbs, 
jargons from lexical means, modal words, actual parts and conditionals from 
grammatical units, mimes, gestures and phonation means from extralinguistic 
means as well as crying, laughter, smile, silence and sighs 
in
