My favourite uzbek writer

I am a student, that’s why I should read a lot of books. I like reading. Literature means a lot in my life. It helps me to understand other people better. I often analyze the characters of the books and it helps me to understand the world and myself. I read books by different authors: Russian, Ukrainian, German, and English.

My favourite Russian writer is Darya Dontsova. She is a popular Russian writer of modern prose. The works of this author are smart and really interesting. According to her own words, her novels are based on real facts. That arouses the reader’s interest and provokes their own analysis of the events. When I got acquainted with her books, I was really impressed by her wit and humor. The main characters often find themselves in a difficult situation, but they do not give up and try to find the way out. Some of the characters of her books are mean and jealous. Some of them are deeply feeling, faithful and tender.

When I read books by my favourite author, Darya Dontsova, I have a feeling that I may meet her characters even in my native town. I always try to watch an interview on TV with Darya Dontsova. She has a happy family that supports her in her work and in difficult situations. She has a strong character, and she is optimistic. Her brain works as a good computer and she knows how to derive benefit from it. I always recommend my friends to read her books.

Art galleries in Uzbekistan

A modern building of the Art Gallery of Uzbekistan, located in the center of Tashkent near Independence Square, opened its doors in August 2004. However, the Gallery history began about 10 years before it: in 1994 the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov initiated to set up a fine art collection amassed by the National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of Uzbekistan (NBU). When a number of exhibits exceed the space capacity of the Bank gallery, it was decided to open a full-fledged exhibition hall.

Today the Art Gallery of Uzbekistan is equipped with everything necessary to meet the requirements of picture storage and display. The Gallery’s main exhibition area of 3500 m2 consists of 15 rooms. In addition to them, there is a conference room, lecture hall, small cinema hall, library and studio to hold master classes, and workshops. In addition, the Gallery building houses a cafeteria and a small gift shop.

The basis of the exhibition collection of the Art Gallery of Uzbekistan is paintings of Uzbek artists created throughout the XX century, and the best work of the contemporaries. However, quite often, it also hosts art exhibitions of foreign artists and other cultural events. Modern equipment installed in the Gallery allows for the maintenance of the most rigorous temperature, humidity and security conditions, necessary for the demonstration and storage of exhibits. Lecture and video rooms, and a library, master class studio, and workshops all certainly raise the new exhibition complex to the level of an international arts center.

My favourite poet

He was born on 26 th of April in 1954 in Markhamat district in Andijan. He graduated from the institute of Russian language and literature (now The Uzbek State World Languages University, from 1994). He worked in these places such as: in Booklovers’ Society of Republic (1978-1980), in the paper which is called “Toshkent oqshomi” (1980-1986), in the Publishing house of “Adabiyot va san’at”, in the paper, which is called “Uzbekiston ovozi” (1986-1993). In the last 4-5 years of his life he became secretary of The Authours Society. He is the authour of the collections: “Tanish teraklar” (Familiar poplars) (1985), “Bulbulga bir gapim bor” (I want to talk to nightingale / I’ve got a sentence to the nightingale, 1987), “Iltijo” (Entreaty, 1988), “Uyqudagi qiz” (A girl who is in a sleep, 1989), “Khalima enam allalari” (The lullabies of grandmother Khalima, 1989), “Ishq kemasi” (The ship of Love, 1990), “Ko’nglimdagi yor” (A beloved who is in my soul, 1991), “Bevafo ko’p ekan” (Faithless are seemed to be a lot, 1991), “Erka kiyik” (Milksop Deer, 1992), “Yolg’onchi yor” (A Beloved who is a lier, 1994), “Osmonimga olib ketaman” (I’ll bring you to my sky, 1998). In 1998 he was awarded with the title of The Peoples’ poet of Uzbekistan. He was elected as a deputy of “Oliy Majlis” (House of Parliament) of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In 2001 his “Selection” had been published. M. Yusuf could perform turning the poem into song and flying the poem high. In each word of the poet’s verses there are patience and willingness to fly.

Writing aboute favourite kind of transport

As much as I enjoy driving, I have to say that I love traveling by train. When you travel by train there is practically none of the demeaning hassle one has to deal with when driving like: traffic jams, diversions, unknown roads. In my opinion, environmental protection should become of a global concern and serious measures should be taken to create ecological security. Climate change has become more than obvious over the past decade, with nine years of the decade making it to the list of hottest years the planet has ever witnessed.
