REVIEW
To the abstract of the dissertation of Shahaldarova Gulchekhra Sagdievna “Principles
and technologies for the formation of cognitive competence of students in a foreign
language (on the example of grades 5-6)” for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
in pedagogical sciences
The world experience of teaching
foreign languages shows that, today, more
than ever, the introduction of modern approaches, methods and innovative
pedagogical technologies in teaching and developing the
intellectual and cognitive
abilities of students is relevant. In all types of educational institutions of the
continuous education system of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the main goal of teaching
and learning foreign languages is the formation, development
and improvement of
communicative competence, which is based on cognitive skills and abilities. In this
regard, the research topic is of particular relevance for
the methodology of teaching
foreign languages in secondary schools. The relevance of this study lies also in the fact
that the formation of cognitive competence has not been sufficiently studied
methodologically.
It is known that the goal of foreign language teaching at all levels of the system
of continuing education of the Republic of Uzbekistan is to develop communicative
competence at the A1, A2, V1, V2, S1, S2 levels of CEFR.
and improvement is
identified as a key goal. In the author's interpretation, cognitive competence is the
basis of all listed competencies and includes the use
of linguistic experience in
analysis and generalization (analysis and synthesis), linguistic comprehension,
transformational (reduction, expansion,
comparison, comparison, complement,
merger, contrast) and others. revealed that their actions
consisted of performance,
inference, and evaluation through the study and analysis of their psychophysiological
mechanisms.
Overall, t
his study has a certain theoretical and practical significance for the
methodology of teaching foreign languages in a secondary school.
In our opinion, it is
necessary to describe in more detail the system of simulation, transformation and
communication exercises. This remark does not detract from
the significance of the
research conducted by the dissertation candidate.
In
