If I saw someone shoplifting, I would immediately call the police.
15. Which would you rather give up: your cell phone ,refrigerator or television?
Nowadays, people can do without television, as cell phones have replaced them. Taking this into consideration, I would rather give up my television.
IF I WERE A BOY
Exercise # 2. Listen and fill in the blanks with the appropriate verbs:
If I were a boy
Even just for a day
I’d roll out of bed in the morning
And throw on what I wanted then go
Drink beer with the guys
And chase after girls
I’d kick it with who I wanted

Exercise # 3. Now rewrite the song with other verbs which are suitable to the context:

Exercise # 4. Imagine Sarah had a good morning and use the third conditional:
Example: If her alarm had gone off, she wouldn’t have overslept.
If she had not got dressed quickly, thrown everything into her suitcase and run out of the house, she would not have forgotten her passport and returned home.
If the taxi had not broken down one mile from the airport, Sarah would not have run the rest of the way.
If she had not run the rest of the way, she would not have missed her flight.
If she had not missed her flight, she would not have had to pay 500 dollars for another ticket for the next flight.
If she had not been so preoccupied with her difficult morning, she would not have walked out of the shop without paying and been arrested by the police.
If the police had not detained her for three hours, she would not have missed her flight again.
THE UNREAL CONDITIONAL
Exercise # 5. Write conditional sentences.

e.g. If we had a private airplane, we would travel around the world.

If he spoke English, he would get a better job.

If I won the lottery, I would buy a big house.
