Objective: to give practice in working with the Wordlist 
Tell the pupils to find the meaning of the words in the Wordlist and write them in the exercise books. You may want to 
organise this activity in the form of a competition. The person who is the first to write all the meanings correctly is the 
winner.

Activity 4b Work in pairs. Read and complete the table.

Objectives: to practise reading for the main ideas; to practise transferring info from the text into a table 
STEP 1: 
Ask the pupils to read the text silently. If necessary draw their attention to the abbreviations in the Remember box. 
STEP 2: 
When they finish reading, ask them to open the Workbook to Page 106 and copy the table into their exercise 
books. 
STEP 3: 
Ask the pupils to work in pairs and complete the table with the information from the text. 
V. Homework

Ask the pupils to look at the homework on Page 106. Check that everybody understands what to do with the task. If 
necessary, explain how to do the homework.
