My Resume.
My name is John Brown. My nationality is American. I am fifty years old. I have a family. My family is small. I have a wife and a son. My son’s name is Bob. My mother is my wife’s mother-in-law. My son has a grandmother and a grandfather. I have many close relatives. I have a sister, a brother, a cousin, a nephew, a niece, an uncle and two aunts. I have few distant relatives too. My brother serves in the American Army. He is a pilot. His name is Dick. I also have a sister. Her name is Diana. She has a husband and a daughter. Her husband’s name is Tom. He is a driver. He drives a taxi. Her daughter’s name is Angela. She is a pupil. I am a teacher and my wife is a housewife. I live in Bristol near New York. I have a friend. His name is Mike. He has a bride. Her name is Jane. Mike is her bridegroom. They want to get married. They have wedding rings. Jack is my friend too. He is single. He is divorced.

My Weekday

I awake very early every morning. My alarm clock rings at six o’clock every day and I get up. I open the window, do my bed and switch on the radio. I do my gymnastics to music. I go to the bathroom, clean my teeth, shave, wash and comb my hair. While I dress, my wife cooks breakfast in the kitchen. She lays the table for our family and we have breakfast at seven o’clock. After breakfast I clean the table and wash dishes while my lovely wife makes up. At eight o’clock my wife and I leave the house. As my plant is far from our house I go there by subway. When I get off the subway I walk to my office. I stay at my plant till four o’clock every day. My wife is a teacher. Her school is close to our house. Her work begins at nine o’clock. I am a first year student. Three times a week I go to the University in the evenings. At home I do my lessons. Sometimes when I get tired I play with my daughter or listen to music or watch TV. I try to find time to go to the cinema or to the theatre

English National Meals

I have three meals a day: breakfast, dinner and supper. I don't have lunch. For breakfast, traditionally, we have porridge, bread and butter or sandwich, soft-boiled eggs, bacon or sausages. Then we eat sweet toasts with marmalade or jam. We usually drink a cup of tea or coffee. I like strong coffee and my wife likes weak coffee. She drinks coffee with cream. I don't like coffee with cream. Our daughter eats fast food: cornflakes with milk and sugar. I don’t have a snack. My wife and I don’t have dinner at home. We have our dinner at the canteen. It is a self-service canteen. We take different salads, soup, a beefsteak or cutlets and vegetables: potatoes, cabbage or green peas. I like bitter, sour and salty dishes and my wife is a sweet tooth. For dessert we take stewed fruit or jelly. When we come home we have our supper. It's a light meal. We eat meat or fish, cheese, biscuits or buns and drink juice.
