Uzbekistan is the Republic and head of state and government is the president, Shavkat Mirziyayev. Current Prime Minster is Abdulla Oripov. The Supreme Assembly or National Assembly (Oliy Majlis) is the parliament of Uzbekistan. It now has two chambers: the Legislative Chamber & The Senate. Legislative Chamber makes laws. The Senate is the upper house of the Supreme Assembly or National Assembly (Oliy Majlis) of Uzbekistan. The senate is composed of 100 members: 84 elected senators; 16 senators appointed by the president. Senators serve 5 year terms. Sessions of the Parliament of Uzbekistan are held in “Oliy Majlis”. It is very beautiful building it’s situated near park Alisher Navoi.
