The potentiometric sensor (Figure 7) consists of a sealed plastic float 1, which is
mounted on the lever 2. The lever 2 together with the engine (slider) 4 is fixed

The principle of action is as follows. In the process of consumption of
fuel by a car, a float that floats on the surface is lowered along with the fuel
level. Its movement is transmitted to the engine, mechanically connected to the
winding. The engine, moving along the winding, changes the output resistance
of the sensor. Next, the signal is transmitted to the fuel level indicator on the
dashboard of the car (see the circuit diagram of the car's electrical equipment).
