Shart ergash gap bosh gapga if, unless, provided, (that), suppose (that), in case, on condition (that) boglovchilar bilan boglanadi.
Shart gaplarda aniqlik mayli va subyunktiv (istak, xoxish) mayli shakllari ham ishlatiladi. Shart ergash gaplar asosan uch xil bo’ladi. Aniqlik mayli ishlatilgan shart ergash gaplarda ish-harakat aniq, real bo’lganligini va ni hozirgi, o’tgan va kelasizamonda bajarilishini ko’rsatadi.


Bu I-xil shart ergash gaplardir

Masalan:

1. 
   If he is here, he is probably 1. Agar u shu erda bo’lsa kutubhonada
   

working in the library. (Present Tense) ishlayapti (hozirgi zamon)

2. 
   If he called on them yesterday they 2. Agar u ularnikiga kecha kirgan bo’lsa,

Shart ergash gaplarda subyektiv mayli shakllari ham ishlatiladi. Ikkinchi va uchinchi shart ergash gaplar haqida 19-darsda berilgan.

III. Qavs ichidagi fe’llarning to’gri shaklini ishlating:
