Course Objectives 
This course introduces the fundamental concepts of Pharmacology 
–
The principles of pharmacology and drug therapy and their application in clinical medical 
practice. 
Objectives in Detail 
Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able 
to: 
1. Understand and develop a rational, critical attitude to drug therapy. 
2. 2. Chiefly address issues of how drugs act and interact in disease. 
3. 3. Understand how evidence of therapeutic effect is obtained and evaluated. 
4. 4. Comprehend the basis for a recommended course of action. 
5. 5. Achieve an optimal result by informed selection and use of drugs.
