Please write an essay (250-500 words) on a topic of your choice. We are interested to learn more about you as a person and as a student than can be shown through criteria such as test scores and grades. We would also like to see how well you can organize your thoughts and express yourself clearly.

Studying abroad is a great experience, especially if you are interested in a foreign culture and language. What’s more Korea is a marvelous goal for anybody hoping to grow their viewpoints. Korea is an education friendly country, which is promoting higher education in every possible manner and has comprehensive quality education system. Demanding and highly stimulating system encourages students to develop an independent approach and a critical mind in today’s knowledge-based employment market. Honestly, I have wanted to study abroad and get international knowledge and experience. In addition to my qualification degree in my country. I really want to enrich my horizons and develop my worldview of education. Certainly, on this purpose Korea is the best country for me to pursue my studies for Master’s degree because my field of study is “Computer Engineering” and Korea is on the top place in IT sphere. When it comes to my educational background is that my interest in IT aroused when I was in secondary school. I usually attempted to examine myself in different spheres at school times when I participated in academic competitions ranking from regional to across cities from the subjects of maths, history and English where I could enhance my skills and got better results. Furthermore, at that time I had also outstanding experience in using personal computers, and one of my secondary school teachers, who is my informatics teacher, evoked my interest in computer science and stimulated me to choose this field as my future sphere and career. However, after graduating school and three-year college, my parents had a strong wish about my education.They want me to be a teacher and I applied my documents to the pedagogical department of English language and literature.This was a big mistake in my life that I realized later. After four years, I was an English teacher and I began to teach pupils in English language. At that time I had no job satisfaction from my profession and I made decision to change my field into my favourite field. I think computers are really my life which makes my life more interesting. Now, I am willing to pursue my studies for master’s degree in Pusan National University, Electrical& Computer engineering major. I want to study in Korea for the several reasons below. Firstly, these days, the relations between Korea and Uzbekistan are improving colossally in term of educational, economical and diplomatical cooperation. Secondly, I appreciate Korean cultural heritage, because most of them are similar to Uzbek traditions. To site an example, there is an organization named KOIKA in our university where Korean teachers teach on Korean language and culture. A lot of students like me always participated in the classes. Kim Yon Nam who is one of the teachers introduced me several Korean cultures. In addition to this, many Uzbek teachers and students, especially from our university, have improved their knowledge and experiences in Korean universities by student or specialist exchange program. I have always wanted to get international knowledge in IT sphere and I am willing to come my expected dreams true in Korea. Graduation of Korean universities will be beneficial for everyone, especially for student who were taught Computer engineering, to make a great future. After graduating I am going to enhance the educational relations, in my field, between the two countries and I would be very delighted if I assist to development and improvement of IT level of Uzbekistan and Uzbek individuals. Therefore, I’m really passionate about applying my master’s degree at Pusan National University in Electical& Computer Engineering major. I hope my decision to be greatly considered by the professors of the university.
