Abstract 
The title of the paper is 
Developing the Four Skills of Language Teaching Staff through 
Lesson Preparations.
The aim of this paper was to investigate how to develop the basic language skills 
of English language teachers through their lesson preparations. The objectives of this paper were to 
high-light the needs in teaching preparations and to know the value of the skills of language teaching 
and to understand how to put these skills into practice as in their lesson preparations and while 
teaching. This paper is organized into five sections. First and foremost, introduction is discussed. 
Secondly, Needs and requirements for teachers in preparing effective lessons are explained. Thirdly, 
the skills required for teachers‟ development will be followed. Fourthly, Skills and sub
-skills obtained 
by preparing lessons will be presented. Finally, conclusion is given. This paper will be found out that 
the teaching staff are able to understand the skills required for teachers‟ development and how to apply 
these skills properly. In addition, improving the qualities of teaching staff as well as students are 
expected.
