GLOSSARY

Apostle is one who is sent off.
Ecclesiastical means belonging to or connected with the Christian Church. My ambition was to travel upwards in the ecclesiastical hierarchy.
Elusive: difficult to find. Something or someone that is elusive is difficult to find, describe, remember, or achieve.
Humankind: human beings considered collectively (used as a neutral alternative to ‘mankind’).

Idiosyncratic: if you describe someone's actions or characteristics as idiosyncratic, you mean that they are rather unusual. … a highly idiosyncratic personality.
Integrity: 1 : firm adherence to a code of especially moral or artistic values : incorruptibility. 2 : an unimpaired condition : soundness. 3 : the quality or state of being complete or undivided : completeness.
Manuscript: a book, document, or piece of music written by hand rather than typed or printed.

Metaphorical: involving, invoking, or intended to be taken as a metaphor, something used symbolically to represent something else, suggesting a comparison or resemblance.
Nationhood: refers to the status of belonging to a nation(-state) or to a national identity. Nationalism in turn can be defined as a set of beliefs and symbols expressing an identification with a given national community and efforts aimed at the establishment and/or maintenance of a sovereign nation-state.
Redemption: an act of redeeming or atoning for a fault or mistake, or the state of being redeemed. Deliverance; rescue. Theology. Deliverance from sin; salvation.
Rhyme: correspondence of sound between words or the endings of words, especially when these are used at the ends of lines of poetry
Social identity: an individual's social identity indicates who they are in terms of the groups to which they belong. Social identity groups are usually defined by some physical, social, and mental characteristics of individuals.
Stereotype: in social psychology generalized belief about a particular category of people. It is an expectation that people might have about every person of a particular group.
