Dear Muslima

At first, we heard of other countries around the world that were affected by the pandemic. It was scary news, but we felt safe until the news of the first infected person in Toshkent was reported. Within days there were two more cases. Shortly afterwards, the president announced that no one was allowed to attend the mosque. Next, all big events such as weddings and funerals were prohibited. Then the lockdown was announced...this meant that everyone had to stay home and avoid other people as far as possible.

During this lockdown my teachers have been teaching us on Zoom. It's strange to listen to my teacher while I am sitting on the coach in my pyjamas, but it is nice to hear her familiar voice. I love that I can get up later now, have longer breaks and play more, but I miss my friends and my teachers. How has this pandemic influenced your life? What measures have your government taken to slow down the virus? Do you have more free time too?
