PROCEDURE OF THE LESSON:

  1. Org. moment:

  • greeting

  • checking up the register

  • checking up the homework: To make up 10 sentences
  1. Pre - activity Activity 3b


Objective: to practise answering a personal quiz PP copy the quiz and tick the phrases that apply to them, or # just to choose the sentences which apply to them.
Suggestion: You could do Grammar Exercise 1 here. It practises the prepositions which follow the phrases ‗be good ‗be fond etc. It could also be done at the end of the lesson or for homework.
  1. Main Part Activity 3c


Objective: to practise writing about abilities they need for their futureprofession
write what abilities they need for their future professions.

Activity 4a


Objective: to practise listening for detail information copy the table, then listen to the interviews and complete the table. Play the tape.
  1. Post - activity Activity 4b


Objective: to practise writing qualities people need for some jobs PP work in pairs and write what qualities they need for jobs 1-4. Remind PP to use the qualities in the table in 4a.

Activity 4c


Objective: to give freer practise in talking on the topic of the unit PP work in groups. They choose a person in their group who has the qualities/abilities to be a doctor, a lawyer etc and explain why they think so.
