Activity 3a

 Read, complete and colour. 5 min 

Objectives: to give practice in reading for main ideas; to prepare for the next activity. 

Ask the pupils to open their Workbooks at Page 54 and look at the picture of a fir tree and the text about it. Explain that 

they must read the text, fill in the gaps with the words from the box and then colour the fir tree. 

Activity 3b

 Draw a mulberry tree and write about it. 10 min 

Objectives: to give freer practice in writing about a plant; to develop the pupils‘ creative abilities. 

Ask the pupils to open their ―My Plants‖ booklet and put numbers at the bottom of the pages. Explain that now they will 

draw the picture of a mulberry tree on the left part of the page. If they do not have time for writing, they can do it at home.
