CLUBS OR UNATTACHED ATHLETES NEED ONLY SEND A ROSTER OR INDIVIDUAL NAME ALONG WITH THE REGISTRATION FEE IN ORDER TO BE REGISTERED FOR THE USATF PART OF THIS MEET. Proof of Age: IN THE FORM OF Birth Certificate, Certified Baptismal Record, Passport, Driver’s License, or U.S. Military Identification) MUST ALSO BE SENT FOR ALL NEW ATHLETES AS WELL AS THOSE WHO ARE NOT VERIFIED IN THE USATF NATIONAL DATABASE. THIS DOCUMENT MUST BE SENT ALONG WITH YOUR ROSTER OR INDIVIDUAL ENTRY FEE.

Eligibility: Must have a current USAT&F number. A number may be obtained Via the Internet at

www.usatf.org . Instructions for getting the number are on the website.

PV Championship will be governed under Youth Rule 304 (4) and 305(3) except for Sub-Bantams who consist of a maximum of five and minimum of three athletes to score as a team. Sub-Bantam will not be contested at the Nationals.

Note: All runners are advised to arrive for course walk. The start for the first race is definite. The start time for the remaining races may vary depending on the number of participants. If the age groups by gender are significantly small, they may run as one group.

All USATF athletes must be pre-registered. Entries must be postmarked on or before October 24, 2009. We must put the names in the computer prior to the meet.

The first ten finishers in each age group/gender will receive medals. The top 25 in each age/gender and the top 3 teams are eligible to advance to the USATF Region 3 Championship on November 21, 2009 at . MILLIKEN CENTER, Spartanburg, SC. Eligible athletes will be required to declare their intentions before leaving the association meet. Athletes not complying with this rule will not be allowed to participate in the Regional or National USATF Cross Country Championship. The association will pay the entry fee for the declared athletes to the Regional and National Championship. Athletes/Teams for whom PVA has paid Regional or National registration fees that do not participate in the meet will be required to reimburse PVA for the registration fees. Failure to make reimbursement will result in ineligibility to participate in any upcoming PVA meets until reimbursement has been made.

Direction to Smithsburg High School: Take I-495 N/Capital Beltway to I-270 via Exit 35 toward Frederick.. Merge onto I-70 W via Exit 32 toward Hagerstown. Merge onto MD-66 N / Mapleville RD via Exit 35 toward Smithsburg. Follow MD-66 past traffic light at MD-64 and past the traffic light in Smithsburg and with a left at the next block (still MD-66) and make a left at the tennis court to Smithsburg HS Track.
