I observed a Math lesson by Mr Cameron. This lesson was one of the most memorable because in this lesson I learned several teaching methods that could be applied in a math lesson. In the first 10 minutes of the lesson, Mr Cameron checked the students’ homework and the next 5 minutes were spent analyzing the errors in the homework. Before explaining the topic, the teacher asked the children questions related to the topic. All students answered the questions. Mr Cameron asked more questions to students who had difficulty with understanding the topic. Also, Mr Cameron used group work to explain the lesson better. After the new topic was explained, the students were divided into 3 groups and asked to complete the task as a team. Mr Cameron gave the teams 5-7 minutes to complete the task. After completion of the tasks, the winning team was determined and each team member was given 1 point.
