world. Therefore, it is not surprising
that it has its own holiday 
–
World
Bread Day, which is celebrated every
year on October 16 .The history of
bread goes back thousands of years. 
According to scientific research, the
first bread products appeared about 8 
thousand years ago. The first
leavened bread was made in Egypt.

Types of bread in our country
The American TV channel CNN presented a list 
of the 50 best breads in the world in its
travel column . It is noteworthy that Uzbek
bread is also included in it.
In a traditional Uzbek "baking machine" called
a tandir, Uzbek bread with a twist turns into a 
work of art. Types of bread vary depending
on the region: from the soft patirs of Tashkent
to the sedan breads of Samarkand

Samarkand breads have been known for their excellent taste since ancient times. Even now, no one
comes from Samarkand without Samarkand bread. They say that real Samarkand bread does not spoil
for 3 years. Even after a long time, it can be eaten by splashing water on the face and heating it in 
the oven. Therefore, the emir wanted to bake this bread in his palace. The courtiers brought the best
baker from Samarkand and ordered him to bake Samarkand bread. The baker did as they were told. 
But despite all his efforts, neither the taste nor the softness of the bread turned out like the bread he 
made in Samarkand. Then the baker said: 
“
Everything must be in the water of Samarkand, or in the
flour, or in the oven made of the soil of Samarkand.
” 
As he said, They brought Samarkand water, flour
and tandir. But this time the bread that came out of the oven was not as expected. Then the baker
said: 
“
The air of Samarkand must be necessary for my bread to come out like in Samarkand.
” 
Realizing that it was impossible to bring the air of Samarkand, the emir did not torture the baker any
more. Amir continued to bring his beloved Samar-kand bread from Samar-kand again...
