1. Normally the following cases are used:
a) very, most (=very), so, too, extremely + positive degree;
For. ex: It is very cold today.
This is most unusual (=It is very unusual)
b) as + positive degree + as not so/as+ positive degree + as:
For. ex: She is as tall as I am /me
It is not so/as hot as it was yesterday.
c) twice/three times/....times/half as + positive degree + as. many +noun much adverb.
For. ex: My watch is twice as expensive as yours.
This book costs three times as much as thatbook. He ate three times as many eggs as I did.
d) s + v +the same + noun (weight/width/depth/legnth/size) +as+ noun/pronoun
For. ex: Your dress is the same colour as mine.

2. Comparatively used in the following cases
a) It is always necessary to compare 2 people or things to a comparative level. in such cases the ‘THAN’ (rather than ..) connector is used, but in some cases ‘THAN’ may be dropped.
For. ex: English is easier than French.
This book is not interesting. Give me more interesting one.
b) Even/ a lot/ much/ far/ a bit/ a little/ slightly/ considerably/ a great deal/ a good deal + comparative degree
For. ex: This area has become considerably more crowded and far noisier in the last ten years.
c) Any/no + comparative degree
For. ex: I’ve waited long enough. I’m not waiting any longer.
We expected their house to be very big, but it’s no bigger than ours.

d) A comparative application can be made without repetition, in which the changing work represents the action.

For. ex: Your English is improving. It is getting better and bette
The city is growing fast. It’s getting bigger and bigger.
These days more and more people are learning English.
