Introduction
“Today it’s difficult to revalue the importance of knowing foreign languages for our country as our people see their great prosperous future in the cooperation with foreign partners” -presidential decree “ On measures for further improvement of foreign languages learning system” №1875 on December 2012, “1 English is one of the oldest languages in the world which changed it is form it is way of pronouncement time by time. Nowadays it has the most simple form of pronunciation and grammatical structure in comparison with it is past. English language became a global language, due to the fact that this language is used around the world in a big scales. The main reason of it is globalization and increasing the role of technologies. The main aim of English teaching is to prepare our new generation to the world, where this language has own important place. Our new generation should possess the language in a good level. They should learn to use this language in any situations, they must possess all four skills of English (speaking, writing, reading, listening). In Uzbekistan that language is usually taught as a second one however to know it guarantees the prosperity and the best conditions of life for individuals.
I have always been interested in alternative and untraditional ways of teaching, since they have not been used for long time in current educational systems at primary and secondary schools. I think that some of them are really profitable and useful. I saw alternative approaches and methods in practice. I was fascinated by them as well as with the results. Since that time, I am trying to get proficient in using at least some of the methods in my teaching.

This course is an introduction to English Language Teaching methods. It develops the students’ pedagogical knowledge and the basic skills needed to teach English efficiently. The course is divided into 3 main areas:
1. Basic teaching and learning beliefs and terminology in relation to the Palestinian context
2. Critical survey of the main ELT Methods
3. A variety of teaching techniques related to teaching the four language skills and the four language components.
