2.1 Analysis of the practical results of the transition to a market economy in Uzbekistan
Economic theory often tries to categorize the concept of economic system in terms of the level of development of the productive forces. On this basis, three types of economic systems of developed countries in the world are presented: traditional economy, command economy and market economy.
Today, the market economy is unique to most countries of the world, and it operates and develops in different countries at different levels and with different characteristics. In particular, from the first years of independence, Uzbekistan has considered the transition to a market economy as one of its most important tasks. At the same time, taking into account its unique cultural, historical, economic and natural features, as well as the world experience in this field, Uzbekistan will gradually, but firmly, without revolutionary coups, social conflicts, strengthening social protection. has chosen the path of gradual transition to a developed market economy.
In order to work on this path, we had to have a model based on our economic, political and cultural situation. Under the leadership of the first President Islam Karimov, the "Uzbek model" that fully meets international standards has been created, taking into account the economic situation in our country.
The first President Islam Karimov commented on this path in his book “Serving for the Happiness and Great Future of Our Motherland is the Greatest Happiness”: “The Uzbek Model, adopted in Uzbekistan, the transition to a market-oriented free market economy is based on five well-known principles: de-ideologization of the economy, ensuring its supremacy over politics, the state's role as the main reformer, the rule of law, strong social policy, gradual and consistent implementation of reforms. "His own way."6
