Ismail Sheikh Ahmad
, currently an Associate Professor at the Institute of Education, International Islamic 
University Malaysia, has conducted a number of key national and international research studies including UNICEF 
especially in language education, reading programme, literacy, R&D in Malaysia, Science and Technology 
Awareness, qualitative studies and thinking skills. He has published a number of articles on second language 
learning (ESL), reading and literacy and children rights to education.
Arifin Mamat
is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Education, International Islamic University Malaysia. His 
areas and expertise are education in general and the teaching of Arabic in particular. He has conducted numerous 
studies on methods of teaching in the Qur‟an, the practice of language communication skills and the teaching of 
Arabic. He has supported the Ministry of Education of Malaysia especially in reviewing and designing the Arabic 
curriculum. 
Ismaiel Hassanien Ahmed Mohamed
is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Education, International Islamic 
University Malaysia. He is an expert in the teaching of Arabic Language and Islamic Studies and has published 
numerous articles in the field of teaching Arabic as a second or foreign language.
