Correspondence with the Court Registry

All correspondence issued by the Court Registry is signed by the author 
and includes the file number and reference details. 
2. 
All correspondence sent to the Court Registry should include the file 
number and reference details and be addressed to: 
(a) the specific officer where that person is known; or 
(b) where the specific officer is not known, the Manager Customer 
Services.

The eCourts Portal of Western Australia is a website which provides 
information relating to the Supreme, District, Magistrates and 
Children’s Courts; th
e State Administrative Tribunal; and the Fines 
Enforcement Registry.

Any person may obtain the following information in relation to the 
Supreme Court from the eCourts Portal: 
(a) 
Court listings for the particular day; and 
(b) Future Court listings for a particular matter, if the person can 
provide certain required details about the matter (such as party 
names, indictment number or charge number), 
except where legislative or court requirements provide that the 
information cannot be published.

Registered users of the eCourts Portal may electronically file most 
originating and non-originating documents in General Division civil 
matters and in Court of Appeal civil appeals, and pay any associated 
fees, via the eCourts Portal.
5. 
The rules concerning filing of documents (electronically or otherwise) 
are primarily contained in O 67A.
6. Order 1 r 4 provides that the electronic case management system for 
managing proceedings in all Western Australian courts and tribunals is 
referred to as the ECMS, and to file electronically means to file under 
O 67A using the ECMS (refer to Practice Direction 1.1.4).
