In the study, the chemical composition of the optimized [2] and conventionally marked (ЖЧ50С6) "iron-cast 
iron-glass" composite material was accepted as the object of research. Chemical composition of this material (by weight 
%): cast iron-50, glass-6, the rest was iron ore. 0.7 (weight %) zincsterate was added to the charge to facilitate the pressing 
process. 
Samples in the size of 55x10x10mm were prepared in accordance with the above composition. The shaft was 
pressed in a hydraulic press at a pressure of 1000 MPa. The pressed bales were oxidized at 200 ° C for 1 hour in a SNOL-
2.5-10 furnace and then baked at 1150 ° C in a continuous Coyo Lindberg type furnace for 1,2,3 hours. The wear test was 
performed on a СМЦ-2 friction machine. Erosion was determined in the dry mode according to the "disk-block" scheme 
by weight method. Loading was 100N, shaft rotation speed was 5 revolutions / sec, the material resistant to the sample 
was carved from 45 steel with hardness 42 - 45HRC.
