Introduction 
 
Scientific research to increase the tribotechnical properties of construction and antifriction grinding materials is 
relevant to the development of new grinding composite materials with iron-based cast iron-glass. In these materials, the 
pores are filled with citrated glass particles, and such glass particles act as a solid lubricant when in contact with a plastic 
metallic matrix. The positive properties of the crystallized glass phase include its ability to be trapped by the material of 
the object and its low coefficient of friction [1]. The fragility of glass in metal-glass composite materials does not 
adversely affect the performance characteristics of the products. This is explained by the fact that small glass particles, 
which melt during the cooking process and fill the pores, are less prone to brittle disintegration than large particles [1, 2]. 
The purpose of this work is to optimize the cooking time of the tribotechnical properties of iron-cast iron-glass 
composite material.
