The field of scientific interests of the Rector covers strategic enterprise management, higher 
education system development, economic science development in Ukraine on the basis of 
competence-based and student-centered approaches, regional economic development, 
economic and mathematical methods and models as well as advanced information 
technologies. 
Professor V. Ponomarenko is the author of over 340 scientific as well as scientific and 
methodological works including works in English and French, namely: 92 monographs, 116 
scientific articles, 50 textbooks and coursebooks. Under the guidance of V. Ponomarenko, 10 
adaptive electronic textbooks were developed and in 2014 a grand-prix for innovative 
methodological developments was obtained at the Higher Education Achievement Exhibition held by the Ministry of Education and 
Science of Ukraine and the Academy of Pedagogic Sciences of Ukraine. 
Volodymyr Ponomarenko is Member of the Association Board Bureau of the Francophone University Agency (FUA); Expert of the 
Central and Eastern Europe Regional Expert Board of the Francophone University Agency (FUA). He is a member of the World 
Association of Rectors headed by Tayochi Satov, Chancellor of the University of Berlin.
