During the movement of the rolling stock, a vibration signal

. Further, the algorithms for 
calculating the higher-order moments of the noise are proposed, and the possibility of their use for monitoring potentially 
hazardous sections of railroad tracks at an early stage of damage formation and for determining the intensity of the 
development of a malfunction is shown.
