PROPERTIES AND BIOCOMPATIBILITY OF METALLIC

Abstract
. Various biomaterials mainly metalic biomaterials have long history and failed hard tissues are 
replacing by them. Due to the hing electrical, thermal conductivity and mechanical properties metals are used as biomaterials. Hard 
tissue total hip and knee joints, bracture healing aids, spinal fixation devices, and dental ***implants are sometimes substitutes by 
some metals. Thehe metals have excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. In making such deveces as vascular stents, 
catheter guide wires, orthodontic archwires and cochela implants ve use alloys of some metallic. Properties of the application of metallic 
biomaterials, the application area and also biocompability are described in the study.

Summary 
Especially in the last 40 years there have been great developments in the biomedical field. Many biomaterials 
have been produced from artificial heart to hip prostheses. Studies on biomaterials; the replacement of damaged tissue 
should be directed towards the reconstruction of natural tissues using the body's capacity to regenerate itself. For this, 
biomaterials need to be developed in order to reconstruct the natural tissues. 
Tissue regeneration with porous, organic and inorganic porous materials at controlled speeds can be achieved 
by preparing tissue scaffolds with soluble, controllable surface properties.
