In recent years, Uzbekistan has been actively introducing new types of tourism, 
including ecotourism. The presence of nature reserves, national parks, gardens, nature 
reserves, natural monuments, biosphere reserves in the country makes ecotourism a 
promising direction.
In addition, Uzbekistan has developed geotourism, medical tourism, as well as 
mountaineering and rafting. Recreation facilities and convenient infrastructure are 
being built. For example, the Chimgan, Bildersay and Charvak sports and health 
centers in Tashkent region have created the necessary conditions for skiing and other 
winter sports. Various mountain roads from 300 to 3,000 meters in length have been 
built here51. Vacationers can climb to the cable car with a special elevator.
The gastronomic direction of tourism is also gaining popularity in Uzbekistan, 
the development of which has made pilaf and other national dishes a well-known brand 
in the country.
In general, there are currently five universities in the country that train 
specialists in this field: Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service, Tashkent State 
University of Economics, Bukhara and Urgench State Universities, as well as the 
Singapore Institute of Management Development in Tashkent. Each year, more than 
500 university graduates in this specialty receive bachelor's and more than 40 master's 
degrees.52.
In short, the rapid development of the tourism industry in Uzbekistan, including 
respect for historical and cultural heritage, the creation of infrastructure that fully meets 
international standards, strengthening international relations, making our region one of 
the most visited countries in the world is one of today's pressing issues.
