Crucial point - For a long time the solutions from world leading manufacturers had been playing a leading role on the software market of the country. Major industrial giants, small businesses and entrepreneurs, as well as state agencies had to use foreign software products, which were not adapted to local conditions. They often faced a lot of problems ranging from the lack of localization to official language and with inconsistency with national standards and laws.
The task of domestic manufacturers of software was not simple: offer their innovative and original solutions and get to the level of the recognized world leaders. And this challenge was solved. The terms of success have been the skilled personnel whose training began in the early 1990s, well-designed program for the development of the IT-industry and government support, and the market-oriented software solutions fitting in the specific requests of the domestic market - The task of domestic manufacturers of software was not simple: offer their innovative and original solutions and get to the level of the recognized world leaders. Success factor - The dynamic development of software industry in Uzbekistan is not a random process, but a consequence of the policy of benefits, incentives and preferences. The national legislation fully protects the rights and interests of producers, providing them with multi-level support.
Software Platform - The highest priority on the current stage of development of the IT-industry is the integration of its best solutions in the work of state structures and the creation of the national e-government. This complex process includes all state agencies that now create their virtual face on the global Internet. A great work was done in this direction. Almost all ministries and departments have their own websites, where a variety of interactive services is available to the visitors. Besides, the first national Center of the Single Window, designed to reduce the number of procedures required to obtain various services, the processing time of requests of citizens and to increase the transparency of the process, operates in Sergeli district of Tashkent. As noted by the representatives of UzACI during the exhibition, the experience gained by this center will be used to create similar institutions all across the country.
