Coliform Count

Water samples are taken at the following locations routinely from May through September. If values fluctuate dramatically or exceed the value of 200 fecal coliforms per 100 ml of water, or there is some evidence of beach contamination, samples may be taken as often as daily until the problem resolves.

Beach count warnings are posted when counts exceed a 30 day geometric mean of 200 fecal coliforms per 100 ml of water, when values fluctuate dramatically, or when there is other evidence of beach contamination.
