You can think about the relationship between the two speakers, their roles and the situation in which the conversation has taken place. Also, whether the speaker is making a request or fixing an appointment, or making an invitation. This would be a sociolinguistic orientation to the analysis of the conversation. On the other hand if we analyse it from the linguistic point of view, we will be looking at the sentenc types and structures used by the two speakers.

5.ANALYSIS OF SOCIOLINGUISTIC PROBLEMS
Sociolinguistic analysis yields findings that call for future research employing a critical theory research approach. Stories that are told in the sales context are elaborated by the sellers in response to their perceptions of consumer wants and needs. 
Sociolinguists often take part in ethnographic research to understand how language changes from one region to another. To understand variation by region, one need look no further than the United States. People raised in Ohio are likely to refer to a non-alcoholic fizzy drink as ''pop,'' while people raised in most parts of Pennsylvania would be more likely to refer to the same drink as ''soda.''
