CONCLUSION
In this course work, I have worked on the topic of question types for testing language skills. The given text which needs to be analyzed made me to work hard. However, it is fact that this course work had also several benefits for me. What is more, I also deepened my knowledge of question types for testing language skills and I wrote general information about question types for testing in my course work. It consists of two chapter
First chapter is given general information about question types for testing language skills. It is concerned with the study categories of question types and important aspect of question types for testing language skills. It is written information about all question types for testing such as multiple choice, tru/false, matching, short answer, essay, oral and computational and how to use them and advantages, disadvantages sides. True/False. This is one of the more basic question types, aligned with Level 1 of the Bloom’s Taxonomy – remember i.e. The world is round – True or False. Multiple Choice This is a fairly versatile question type, and aligns with a couple of different levels in the Bloom’s Taxonomy; remember, understand, analyze and apply. Multi-Select. MS questions test a learner’s ability to remember and understand, although it can be used in the upper levels of the Bloom’s taxonomy as well to test learner ability to analyze or evaluate. Short Answer. Short answer questions allow learners to type in answers that can be graded using ‘regular expression‘, but are usually used to test lower levels of understanding like remember and understand. Matching/Ordering. Both these question types help practice application and evaluation skills, although they are also great question types where you can insert images into the question text area to provide more context. Apart from this, in this coursework there is given lots of various thoughts and ideas of famous scientists and linguists. In learning english language question types are just as important as other grammatical rules. Therefore question types for testing play an important role in helping learners to study the language perfectly and individually to check and improve their knowledge level. It is also provided information on important aspect of question types. Language is a complicated thing to measure. Consequently, there are many types of language testing, each type measuring different skills for different reasons. For example, one test might ask you to read a passage out loud, while another asks you to answer questions about the passage.
Second chapter is practical part which consists activities focus on usage of question types for testing. The given activities help learners to gain common and special data about the topic. It will be helpful not only learners but, instructors can use the tasks during his or her lesson. All in all, students can take information from the paper about question types for testing, considered examples of usage and the need to use. Question types for testing not only check the level of knowledge of students but also show them at what stage to continue the lesson and whether they have mastered the topics covered. Question types of testin measures a learner's level of language. It can be compared with an achievement test, which evaluates a learner's understanding of specific material, a diagnostic test, which identify areas to work on, and a prognostic test, which tries to predict a learner's ability to complete a course or take an exam. Proficiency tests are uncommon within the classroom but very frequent as the end aim of language learning.
