Actuality of the topic is that Since learning of foreign language is a complex process. All language learners use a variety of test questions to see and test their knowledge. Question types for testing are also used by teachers, examiners, and learners. Everyone who wants to learn a language has to use different types of questions.
The aim of the topic is that The purpose of the topic is to provide learners with complete information about the types of questions for the test, and through it to provide useful information about how to improve their knowledge, types of tests and their use.
The object of the theme. There are two general categories of test items: objective items which require students toselect the correct response from several alternatives or to supply a word or short phrase toanswer a question or complete a statement; Objective items include multiple‐choice,true‐false, matching and completion, while subjective items include short‐answer essay,extended‐response essay, problem solving and performance test items. For some instructionalpurposes one or the other item types may prove more efficient and appropriate. To begin ourdiscussion of the relative merits of each type of test item, test your knowledge of these twoitem types by answering the following questions.
The subjective of the theme. subjective or essay items which permit thestudent to organize and present an original answer. Objective items include multiple-choice, true-false, matching and completion, while subjective items include short-answer essay, extended-response essay, problem solving and performance test items. Subjective questions are questions that require answers in the form of explanations. Subjective questions include essay questions, short answer, definitions, scenario questions, and opinion questions.
Practical value of the theme to give information learners about question types of testing language skills and its advantages and disadvantages sides. What is more that I also wrote when and how to use the question types and its types and some examples. I used some textbooks, some websites in internet, some books in preparing this coursework.
Theoritical value of the theme. Learners can increase their knowledge using test question types and help them to know their level of knowledge. Teachers use a variety of questions to find out how well their students understand the topic. As a result, he learns what level of knowledge to give to his students The theoretical test, sometimes called a knowledge test, is one of the most commonly used assessment methods. Such a test should not only confirm remembered knowledge, but above all enable the use of this knowledge to be assessed. Upon viewing the answers of the students, it was found that the majority of the students prefer multiple-choice exam type. The reason for this is generally attributed to the chance of finding the correct answer even if they do not know anything about the question.
Other students prefer open- ended exam type. Testing is a part of teaching that helps to determine whether or not the results are present and whether or not they match the teacher’s expectations. This way, testing can be viewed as a marker that serves as the basis for a variety of important decisions of a teacher. Test results are not only designed to help the teacher evaluate the progress of their learners, but also to evaluate their own performance. For example, based on testing results a teacher maks decisions about the materials they employ, methods and techniques they implement, the way they interact with the learners. A large variety of tests is available to the modern teachers, tests of different types can be held during the learning process in order to address different needs of a teacher and their student. A teacher selects particular types of tests based on the aspects they need to evaluate for the further decision-making.
