Humidification
Humidification is the process of increasing the moisture content of the
air in a conditioned space. This operation is used wherever some low
limit of humidity is required and is needed only when the drying effect
of outside air (as in winter) cannot be compensated by humidity
sources, such as people or functions, within the space. Moisture may
be added directly in the space or in the air-handling unit serving the
space.
Methods of adding humidity include sprays and atomizers, evapo-
rators, and steam injectors.
