Mores & Continueds
Mores and continueds help provide clarity for the reader when a line of dialogue has been interrupted
for some reason.
Change MORE and CONT'D Options
By default (MORE) will appear at the bottom of a page when a section of dialogue is separated by a page break,
and (CONT'D) will appear next to a character name for dialogue that is interrupted by an action line or page
break.
1. Go to Customize > Page
2. Scroll to the Misc section and look for Splitting options near the bottom
3. Check and uncheck the boxes for
the options you would like
a. MORE at bottom of page: - will add (MORE) to the bottom of a page when dialogue is interrupted by a
page break
a. (MORE)

b. In
the text box, you can also change how the MORE is displayed.
b. Add Character on next page: - will add (CONT'D) next to the character
name when dialogue is
interrupted by a page break
a. (CONT'D) by default
b. In the text box, you can also change how the CONT'D is displayed.
c. Add CONT'D for consecutive dialogue - will add (CONT'D) next to the character name when dialogue is
interrupted
by action
d. Add scene-continued number - will place the scene number next to CONTINUED: if this option is
enabled for the top or bottom of the page. See options e. and f.
e. Scene continued at top of page: - will add CONTINUED: at the top of a page when a scene continues
past a page break
a. CONTINUED: by default
b. In the text box, you can also change how the CONTINUED is displayed.
f. Scene continued at bottom of page: - will add (CONTINUED) at the bottom of a page when a scene
continues past a page break
a. CONTINUED: by default
b. In the text box, you can also change how the CONTINUED is displayed.
