CENTRAL BERKS REGIONAL POLICE COMMISSION
June 2, 2016
The June 2, 2016 meeting of the Central Berks Regional Police Commission was called to order at 7:03 PM by Chairman John Theodossiou. The meeting was opened with the pledge to the flag. Commissioners answering roll call included James Cocuzza, Mark Dudash, James Oswald, Benjamin Overley, and John Theodossiou. Todd Weikel was absent. Also in attendance was Claudia Hurwitz, Secretary; Mark Merolla, Solicitor; Raymond Serafin, Chief of Police, Sgt. Matthew Mace, Officer Joseph Taimanglo, Wayne Levey and family & friends.
Wayne A. Levey was sworn in as a Recruit Patrol Officer by Mayor Benjamin Overley. The bible was held by his wife and children.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

MOTION TO: approve the May 2016 Treasurer’s Report totaling $444,648.29, as presented.

Administration/Personnel
MOTION TO: adopt resolution 12-16, reappointing Atlas Wealth Partners as pension plan financial advisor, effective June 2, 2016.

MOTION TO: execute the advisory agreement with Atlas Wealth Partners.

Finance/Insurance/Pension: Mr. Merolla will draft a letter to Morgan Stanley, terminating their services. Mr. Overly thanked Mr. Cocuzza and the pension committee for all of their hard work on the RFP.
Building/Equipment: no report.
CHIEF AND SECRETARY:
Chief: Chief Serafin presented his monthly report. He reported that CNN’s The Hunt will be featuring a story which will include an interview with Detective Manndel about a 2-year old male abducted by his mother from St. Lawrence. Officer Levey will start work on Monday, June 6.

UPDATES:
Lower Alsace Township: no report.
Mount Penn Borough: Mr. Dudash reported that Mount Penn Council opposed full time code enforcement under the supervision of the Chief of Police. Discussion followed.
Police Association: no report.
OLD BUSINESS: none.
NEW BUSINESS: none.
EXECUTIVE SESSION: Mr. Theodossiou called for an Executive Session at 7:34 PM to discuss litigation. The meeting reconvened at 7:39 PM with no action taken.
