Mount Joy is the holding school for Becket Farms school – we have gained several new students many of whom are being bussed in.

Staffing changes – Ms. Durani will now be here until September, Ms Petropolis returning in Jan

Lego club started – lego robotics starts in January. Ultimate Frisbee, volleyball, board games club, dance and exercise club are continuing

Movember raised $800 for prostate cancer research

Logo in gym – do we want to rebrand ourselves – talk to all stake holders – not a difficult process – put on graffiti board to get student feedback – looking at Mustangs, or Jaguars, spirit assembly great opportunity to unveil – consider buying spirit wear and selling it here – more than just t-shirts – begin process in January and launch in March

COUNCIL APPROVES the purchase of a Blu-ray player with av hook up at an approximate cost of $50 to $140.

Pop-corn provider - $150 min order so we would have to combine with tuck shop and make a bigger order – could charge a dollar – have to buy 600 to get best price – tuck shop will do first

Do we want to look at arts programs? – Ms Manimanakis offers to do an after school program – Sabrina and Ms. Manimanikis will talk further – Charge a minimal amount to cover cost of supplies – if a lot of kids could do more than one night – will need to figure out space

play program – grade 6 students have been trained – they go to each classroom and gather a group of kids to play

public health nurse wants to share some resources – Katie will meet with her.

Treasurers Report – grade threes are going to heritage school house and will use their subsidy
1. Curriculum Night: The Sep 26, 2013 Curriculum Night, $110 of costs have not yet been posted. There will be a net profit of $78.
2. Pizza Days: Total sales of $13,152 are for orders from Sep 25th to Nov 27, 2013 (10 weeks). We have a net profit of about $6,103 from this first session.
3. Movie Day: The costs for the Nov movie day has not yet been posted
4. As per the Feb 5, 2013 school council meeting, approved costs of $1,040 subsidy for Grade 8 grad pictures: $500 was posted in June 2013 and the remainder to be posted in December 2013

Mabel’s Labels – 20 percent of sales – they provide a URL – and we just get the money we can include the information in the next newsletter

Covered area outdoors for the Kindergarten students – to provide shade – could we purchase tents – could we also have water available – council ca review costs and review in spring

Agendas – total cost was $2400 – budget $3000 - we can cover most of cost – ask students for $1-$2 – COUNCIL agrees to subsidize next year

Grade 8s – will council subsidize the cost of the grad photos ? – vote next meeting once we have a firm cost

Camera Club – Photography Club - $270 plus tax for camera - $60 for lenses,$500 plus tax is an approximate cost – will council provide funds?
