Please complete this form and submit it with all supporting financial documents and a copy of your passport data page to Boston University.
This form is necessary to certify that you have sufficient funds for your first year of study.
A Certificate of Eligibility (Form I-20) for a Student Visa will not be
issued unless this form is completed and the necessary certifications are obtained.
In order to obtain a visa to study in the U.S., you will also be required to
demonstrate to the U.S. Consular post that you have adequate financial support for the upcoming academic year. You may wish to
retain a photocopy of this
document for your records.
You may, along with this form, send a bank letter addressed to Boston University indicating that your education and living expenses for the amount stated will
be provided by your sponsor. Please note: all funds must be liquid or currently available. All documents must be current (within 12 months of your start date at
Boston University), written in English, and signed and stamped by a bank official. Monthly bank statements or balance sheets alone are not sufficient.
